About the BFBS

The Budgerigar and Foreign Bird Society is a nonprofit organization that was established to provide a forum at which persons interested in aviculture can meet and exchange information and ideas and to establish and promote interaction and co-operation between breeders, fanciers and other keepers of birds.

We meet the first Thursday of every month (except for July and August) at the Banbury Community Centre, 120 Banbury Road, 2nd Floor, Toronto, at 7:30pm – 10:00pm.

120 Banbury is located south of York Mills Road between Leslie Street and Bayview Avenue.

Meetings usually include a speaker with a talk or slide show on a topic related to birds eg. nutrition; conservation; behaviour; toy making and the ever popular Ask The Vet. There are refreshments on hand (coffee, pop/juice and snacks.)

Anyone wishing to drop by and see what we are all about is very welcome to do so!

We also attend the Pet Expo at the International Centre at Airport and Derry Roads. Members are asked to participate.
